“Good Trouble” is coming back for more drama and romance. The trailer for the show’s fifth season premiered on March 10, and it shows the characters dealing with new parenthood, exploring fresh relationships, and banding together after tragedy strikes.
“Good Trouble” is a spinoff of “The Fosters,” which followed a group of teenagers being raised by a lesbian couple in California. The show aired from 2013 to 2018, and “Good Trouble” premiered in 2019. “Good Trouble” focuses on “The Fosters” characters Callie Adams Foster (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana Adams Foster (Cierra Ramirez) as they try to make a life for themselves in Los Angeles. When they move into a communal living apartment called The Coterie, they develop new life-changing bonds with their neighbors.
Zuri Adele, who plays Malika Williams, told Hello! Magazine that the new season will place viewers right back where the fourth season ended. “We will jump directly into where we left off. We’re going to see each person choosing themselves – and taking the risks that come with that, which I think we started to see at the end of last season,” she said. “Our lives will start to intertwine, and we have to show up for each other in ways that feel really nostalgic to season one.”
Ahead, check out what we know about “Good Trouble” season five.
