Season 16 of Gogglebox Australia is about to kick off, and fans of the show have been introduced to the newest cast members.
Kevin, Bob, Jared and Mia are joining the show this year, describing themselves as “very close”.
Kevin and Bob have been together for five years and share two children.
Bob then went on to meet Mia and Jared, who are university mates.
“[They] often catch up to discuss the navigation of life, love and relationships whilst having fun and staying connected to their communities as young, proud, and staunch custodians of their Indigenous culture and identity,” Gogglebox Australia announced.
The group enjoy shows such as Euphoria, Wentworth, RuPaul’s Drag Race and The Project, so it’s fair to assume that they have good taste!
The Brisbane-based crew are joining the 16th season of Gogglebox Australia just a month after series favourite Di Kershaw passed.
It has been reported that the season premiere will pay tribute to Di with a dedication and a three-minute montage.
Di, who was joined on the couch by her husband Mick, was much-loved by the members of the Gogglebox community.
The couple only missed one season when they decided to self-isolate during COVID.
Di sadly passed in July after battling throat cancer.
“We loved how Di brought her hilarious self to every episode, making us laugh with her infectious cackle, her brutal honesty and constant references to Babee,” said fellow Gogglebox stars, the Daltons.
“We adored how she would tease Mick and irritate him. She was exceptional, and our Gogglebox family will always remember her.”
Lee and Keith said, “We are going to miss her great wit plus her blue eyeshadow on our screens each week.”
“We’ll miss her trademark lines, for example, Bebee and her most famous ‘spear me.’”
“She was a wonderful lady and her and Mick will be sadly missed.”
