Uh oh. It seems Married At First Sight bride Domenica Calarco has found herself in hot water after making a few suggestive comments on Robert Irwin’s TikTok account.
The reality star is being labelled creepy after she told the teenager that he’s “handsome” and asked him to accompany her on a date to the Logies.
“God you are so handsome,” she commented on one of his videos.
“Robert, would you like to come to the Logies with me on Sunday? Xx” she added.
Robert, who just turned 18 in December, is 10 years younger than Dom, who is 28. Not only that, but he reportedly is in a relationship with 17-year-old actress, Emmy Perry.
“That’s gross, predatory behaviour,” one user replied to Dom’s comment. “Be a better human and do better.”
Dom replied: “Chill out he’s of legal age. Wow.”
Things began to escalate, with more and more people coming out of the woodwork to criticise Dom and her actions.
Under an Instagram post made by Life Uncut, Dom issued a response to the backlash.
“In Australia, legal age is 16. He is 18. He can drink alcohol. I can ask him to come to the Logies with me, and say that he is handsome,” she wrote.
“Take a chill pill everyone.”
She then questioned why she couldn’t call Irwin “handsome” and why inviting him to the Logies is any different from “young boys [inviting] supermodels or pop stars to prom”.
“Society is becoming so [politically correct] it hurts,” she said.
“[It’s] especially concerning coming from someone 10 years older than him,” a user replied. “This shouldn’t be normalised.”
“Agree, so creepy,” another wrote.
Dom then took to So Dramatic!’s Facebook group, Communi-TEA, and told members to “get over [them]selves”.
“What’s more concerning is that she is doubling down when people have called her out for it,” someone wrote.
“Not doubling down … I’d still love to take Robert out for a beer,” Dom replied.
Since then, Dom shared a photo on her Instagram story, where she can be seen sitting at a table with two beers.
She then tagged Robert Irwin and invited him to have a drink with her.
Robert Irwin is yet to issue a statement.
