Fans Compare David Beckham’s Mum to Princess Diana as He Shares a Throwback Photo
David Beckham has been opening up his family album recently. The former footballer shared a throwback snap to celebrate his mum Sandra’s birthday showing him as a young boy standing in a football changing room, wearing a Manchester United tracksuit. The photo appeared to be a true piece of eighties nostalgia as David teased his mum’s fashion choices.
“Happy Birthday mum hope you have the most amazing day we all love u so much,” he captioned the post, before adding, “Nice hair & velour tracksuit”. While David is sporting short, blonde hair and a cheeky smile, his mum is wearing a grey velour tracksuit over a white pie-crust neck shirt with an oversized leather jacket making it a real retro outfit. Smiling proudly next to her son, who looks as though he’s about to embark on his footballing career, she has a cropped, eighties hairdo to top off the look. And soon after, David’s post was flooded with comments declaring his mum looks just like Princess Diana – and we kind of see the resemblance.
“wow, i thought this is Princess Diana,” wrote one follower, with another writing, “Whoooa!! SO much like Princess Diana!!!! And the same zodiac sign, too!!” Princess Diana’s birthday is 1 July, just 5 days later than Sandra Beckham. Victoria also commented, “We love you Sandra”.
The Beckham family really are closer than ever, with them all regularly posting loving social media photos of each other. Victoria treated her followers to a photo of David wearing his pants earlier this month, David celebrated seeing Harry Styles at Wembley Stadium for his Love on Tour with his daughter, Harper, and the couple both posted group family shots with Cruz, Brooklyn, and his wife, Nicola, at the Elton John tour at London’s o2 Arena (just Romeo was missing due to footballing commitments).
While the Beckhams’ continue to celebrate family gatherings and throwback photos, we’ll be lapping them all up. More from the archives, please!
