This “Dated & Related” Couple Didn’t Make It After Filming Ended

Kaz and Diana stole each other’s hearts on season one of “Dated & Related.” After confirming their relationship early on in the series, the “golden couple” went on to act as excellent wingmen for their siblings, Kieran and Nina, respectively. As drama heated up between since-dissolved couples on the show, the pair stuck by each other’s side, even when they didn’t exactly see eye-to-eye.

One notable moment during the season took place when Kieran and Nina were having relationship issues. While Diana and Kaz sided with their respective siblings, the pair made sure to check in with each other. After Nina explained her and Diana’s thoughts on the situation to Kaz, he later convinced Kieran to apologise to Nina for making her feel insecure in their relationship. By the end of the season, Kaz organised an elaborate surprise to confess his love for Diana – a rare reality TV show moment that we remember not for its drama, but for its sweetness.

Now that the show has wrapped, Kaz and Diana – the season one champions – are still going strong, even if their siblings have called it quits and entered new relationships. It’s “just all love now,” Diana told Netflix, adding that the four of them love to hang out together in London.

In their regular lives, Kaz wants to teach Diana how to cook and the pair also plan to take a tropical vacation together with their prize money.

After Kieran’s tumultuous relationship with Nina throughout the series, the Bishop twin sparked a romance with Alara and the pair came out on top as one of the final three couples in the competition. While their connection in the villa was strong, distance and unexpected circumstances forced the couple to part ways.

“Alara and I had a lot going on back home after leaving the villa, so, unfortunately, things didn’t work out between us,” Kieran told Netflix. “I had family issues, and Alara was busy at university, and she lived three hours away from London, which made it more difficult. We’re still really good friends and still in contact.”

Even though she and Kieran had to call it quits, Alara said her dating life is flourishing, adding that Kieran would “have to take a ticket now” to get in line if he ever wanted to rekindle their romance.

While Nina and Kieran weren’t the dynamic duo viewers thought they’d be at the beginning of the season, she did end up finding love with Daniel and landing a spot in the finale. Since the end of season one, Daniel – who lives in Canada – and Nina – who lives in London — have managed to keep their romance alive via a long-distance relationship.

“There hasn’t been a day that has gone by since the show where she hasn’t been on my mind,” Daniel said to Netflix. “Even though we are long distance, we’ve stayed in contact pretty much every day. If we aren’t texting, we are FaceTiming or on the phone. Since the day I met her, she’s always managed to keep me laughing and it’s just always felt right, which makes it fun and easy talking to her.”

Daniel and Nina also have plans to meet up for the first time since the show wrapped filming. “My days are better when I get to see her on FaceTime or hear from her – hopefully, that is soon to change in-person,” Daniel added. “She is on my mind and in my plans on the regular. I can’t wait to see her, I miss her so much! It’s been too long.”

Nina said, “It’s been a long time coming but the connection is still there and I miss him a lot. Can’t wait to reunite.”
