“Creed III” has finally unveiled the first look at the highly-anticipated film starring Michael. B. Jordan and Jonathan Majors. On Oct. 17, Jordan, who’s reprising his role as Adonis Creed, shared his “Creed III” poster across his social media pages with text, “You can’t run . . ..” Majors’s poster finishes the phrase with, “. . . From your past.”
Jordan and Majors were spotted on set of “Creed III” back in March as photos of the two made their way to social media. In particular, shirtless snaps of Majors caused quite the stir online. The actor later reacted to the buzz in his November cover story for Men’s Health and said of it, “There’s nothing wrong with that. I embrace it.”
Details about “Creed III” are still being kept under wraps, but it’s likely that the film will continue to explore the legacy Adonis is building years after his father Apollo Creed died in the ring and in the wake of his baby girl’s birth. We last saw the boxer successfully defend his heavyweight championship title in “Creed II” following a fierce rematch against Viktor Drago (Florian Munteanu) – son of Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren), aka the man responsible for killing Apollo in his final match.
“Creed III” will not see Sylvester Stallone reprise his role as Rocky Balboa, who trained Jordan’s Adonis in the first two films. His absence will surely propel Adonis’s story forward as he continues to make a name for himself in the boxing world.
Read ahead for everything we know about “Creed III” so far, including the returning cast and release date.
