Chris Messina has had a lengthy career on screen, with acting credits in acclaimed series like HBO’s “Six Feet Under,” “The Newsroom,” and most notably, “The Mindy Project,” in which he starred as Dr. Danny Castellano from 2012 to 2017. Recently, you may have spotted the actor in the sports drama “Air” as real-life sports agent David Faulk or in the horror flick “The Boogeyman.” Messina’s latest project, the comedy thriller series “Based on a True Story,” hits Peacock on June 8.
When he isn’t busy acting, though, the 48-year-old star enjoys life with film producer Jennifer Todd, and their two children, Milo and Giovanni. While it is unknown when Messina and Todd met, the two have been together for over 15 years. Todd is known for producing a handful of popular films, including the “Austin Powers” trilogy, “Must Love Dogs,” “Across the Universe,” Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland,” and “Celeste and Jesse Forever,” which also starred Messina. In addition to her work producing movies, Todd has been the president of Pearl Street Films, a production company founded by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, since 2012, per The Hollywood Reporter.
While Messina and Todd are undoubtedly a Hollywood power couple, they two prefer to keep their romance out of the spotlight and maintain a very private personal life. The duo have not spoken much about one another to the press, with Messina only revealing the status of their relationship in a 2014 interview with IndieWire, saying, “I live in Los Angeles with my wife Jennifer Todd who is a film producer and our two boys, Milo and Giovanni.”
