Yes, in 2006 — in an appearance that not one Australian will ever forget — Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth, appeared as a contestant on Dancing With the Stars.
With Channel 7 bringing back an All Stars version, we couldn’t help but take a trip down memory lane to marvel (wink wink) at Hemsworth in all of his shaking booty and satin turquoise shirt glory — and believe me when I say, it is truly glorious.
The above Tweet was written by New York Times journalist Kyle Buchanan who dredged up the footage from deep down under in 2020 and while no truer word has ever been spoken, it was the video accompanying the Tweet which deserves a standing ovation.

At the time, Hemsworth was just a young stud on Home and Away — the TV show that would plunge him into our living rooms and into our hearts forever. However, his success on the popular dancing show was not like his resounding victory as a mega A-lister and in week six of the show, he received the lowest score of the evening and was eliminated.
Luckily, his family were there to cheer him on (including a very young Liam) and you couldn’t wipe the smile off his face!
