From one director to another, Channing Tatum had some sage advice for his girlfriend, Zoë Kravitz. In a recent interview with “Variety,” Tatum says he warned the 33-year-old “High Fidelity” star against taking on an acting role while directing a film for the first time. In case you missed it, the upcoming thriller “Pussy Island” will mark Kravitz’s directorial debut, which stars Tatum, who’s also producing the project. “I was like, ‘You’ll need double the days,'” Tatum says. “She’s a perfectionist in the best possible way.” Tatum’s comments are based on the difficulties he faced while starring in and codirecting his upcoming film “Dog,” which hits theatres on Feb. 18.
As for the two lovebirds, Tatum and Kravitz reportedly first met on the set of “Pussy Island,” though they actually crossed paths a few years ago when they voiced roles in 2017’s “The Lego Batman Movie.” Shortly after news broke of Kravitz’s divorce from Karl Glusman, she was romantically linked to Tatum. Last summer, they were seen riding a bike through New York City before seemingly confirming their romance on Instagram that same month when Tatum followed several accounts dedicated to Kravitz. “There’s more than a friendship going on with Channing and [Zoë],” a source told E! News at the time. “They are spending a lot of time together and having fun. They are more than just close friends or co-stars. Their relationship has grown into more.”
