Catherine Zeta-Jones is on a roll! In addition to her role as Morticia Addams in Netflix’s “Wednesday,” the 53-year-old actor stars in Disney+’s upcoming “National Treasure: Edge of History,” and she celebrated at the show’s premiere in LA on Monday night. Zeta-Jones brought along her 22-year-old son, Dylan Michael Douglas, for the big night, though her husband, Michael Douglas, and daughter Carys Zeta Douglas were not in attendance.
While on the red carpet, Zeta-Jones spoke to People about what a “good son” Dylan is. “I mean, each year gets better and better and with such good friends, I think, in our family, which is great,” she said.
Similar to the film franchise, “National Treasure: Edge of History” centers on 20-year-old Jess Valenzuela (Lisette Olivera), who sets off on a journey to explore her family history and recover a historical lost treasure. Of doing her own stunts for the show, Zeta-Jones told People, “Certain stunts in movies and stuff, you have to do. . . . Unless you’re Tom Cruise and you really want to fly out of a plane.” She added, “I’m not Tom and I admire him for all he does. But for me, it’s a wonderful career. Those stunt people are wonderful.” The series hits Disney+ on Dec. 14.
