Cameron Diaz is constantly in awe of her husband, Benji Madden. During an appearance on Michelle Visage’s “Rule Breakers” podcast on March 8, the actor gushed about Madden as a husband, father, and someone who gives great advice. When asked about what surprising advice the Good Charlotte rocker gave Diaz, she shared, “He’s really taught me to value myself a lot more . . . I think that I was receiving so much validation elsewhere and in all these other ways. With our marriage, I learned how to really go all in.”
The “Charlie’s Angels” alum noted that it’s “not hard” to go all in when it comes to their family “because it’s the most valuable thing I have.” Diaz and Madden, who have been married since 2015, welcomed daughter Raddix in December 2019. Since then, she and her husband have strengthened their bond of togetherness. “We know that no matter what, we can just go and be just a family anywhere and we’re fine. We don’t need any of the things that we have – other than each other,” she told Visage.
Diaz got emotional as she added, “He’s just a guy I can count on. He’s hilarious and he’s so funny. And he’s the best dad ever. I could cry, he’s just the best.”
