Bruce Willis Rides Splash Mountain With His Daughter in Video Shared by Wife Emma

Bruce Willis and his family took one last ride on Disneyland’s Splash Mountain before it closed for its “Princess and the Frog”-themed remodeling, and his wife, Emma Heming Willis, shared the special family moment on Instagram. Emma posted the video on June 1, but it’s unclear when the footage was taken.

In the video, Bruce can be seen riding Splash Mountain with one of his younger daughters – he and Emma share Mabel, 11, and Evelyn, 9. The 68-year-old throws a protective arm across his daughter’s waist, and says, “You better watch out,” as his little one laughs. He then adds, “I think we’re going again.”

Emma also included clips featuring her family enjoying other rides in the park. She captioned the video, “You bet this family will be back for more fun and laughs when you reopen as Tiana Bayou! Thanks for all the memories Splash Mountain ⛰️?.”

The “Die Hard” actor is also dad to adult daughters Rumer, Tallulah, and Scout, all of whom he shares with ex Demi Moore. Tallulah commented on her stepmom’s post to share that she didn’t realize Splash Mountain was closing. “Wait no more splash???” she asked. Emma replied, “done and done! It closed the other day hence my homage.”

Splash Mountain closed permanently in Disneyland on May 31. Renovations are now underway to transform the ride into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which is set to open in Disneyland and Disney World in 2024.

Emma’s glimpse into her family’s Disney adventure was made all the more special due to Bruce’s diagnosis with FTD, a progressive brain disease. The Willis family announced their patriarch’s official diagnosis in February 2023. Since then, the actor’s wife, ex-wife, and daughters have been protective of Bruce, and selective about how much of his journey they share on social media.

In March, Emma posted an emotional video on Instagram in which she told her followers she was feeling grief on her husband’s birthday this year. “I always get this message or people always tell me, ‘Oh, you’re so strong. I don’t know how you do it.’ I’m not given a choice. I wish I was, but I’m also raising two kids in this,” she said. “Sometimes in our lives, we have to put our big girl panties on and get to it. And that’s what I’m doing. But I do have times of sadness, every day, grief every day, and I’m really feeling it today on his birthday.”

She continued, “Today is one of those days of feeling the grief and sadness. But the silver lining or the flip side is that I’m so lucky to feel your warmth and love that is directed to my husband and our family. I see your messages, your stories that you share, and all I can say is thank you. Your connection helps me, and I hope it helps you in a small way to know that I see you and I deeply understand your journey as well.”
