Bob Saget was there in spirit as his daughter Aubrey got married in Tulum, Mexico, this past weekend. The eldest child of the late “Full House” star tied the knot with creative director Andy Kabel on Nov. 12, nearly one year after Saget passed away at the age of 65. Many loved ones and friends gathered on the beach for the outdoor nuptials, including Aubrey’s stepmom and Saget’s widow, Kelly Rizzo, and Aubrey’s sister Lara Saget. Aubrey wore a white off-the-shoulder wedding dress, while Kabel wore a tan suit for the occasion.
“He’s been everywhere this weekend….appearing in rainbows and signs and symbols.”
At the reception, guests were greeted with a tequila shot with lime and offered cigars, the latter an apparent nod to Saget. “Saluting Bob with his favorite things…. A good cigar,” Rizzo wrote while sharing a selfie on Instagram with her and Saget’s longtime friends Jennifer Finnigan and Jonathan Silverman. Finnigan noted that Saget’s presence was felt the entire weekend. “We’ve spent every day reminiscing, laughing, and crying about Bob….whom we all lost 10 months ago,” the actor wrote on Instagram. “Being surrounded by the people he loved most in the world has been so healing and bonding. Never was a man so collectively adored, and so desperately missed. He’s been everywhere this weekend….appearing in rainbows and signs and symbols. We feel ya Bob. We know you’re here.”
Aubrey’s special day comes three months after “Full House” alum Jodie Sweetin’s wedding, during which John Stamos paid accidental tribute to Saget by wearing one of his shirts. “It was this black button up that Bob would always wear. Bob always had a black button up on. So, [he] was there in his weird little way,” Sweetin recalled of her late TV dad. Saget died on Jan. 9 as a result of blunt head trauma, and is survived by Rizzo and the three daughters he shares with ex-wife Sherri Kramer: Aubrey, 35, Lara, 33, and Jennifer, 29. Following his death, Lara shared a touching statement about him on Instagram, writing, “To anyone afraid to love, Unconditional love is the greatest of gifts. My dad loved with everything he had. He had so many reasons to be scared to love. So many loved ones kept dropping the body. Instead of being scared, he loved more. I am beyond grateful to receive and to give that love.”
