Billie Eilish‘s fans experienced a little more euphoria than usual at her concert on Dec. 13 at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles. Toward the end of her set, Eilish brought out Emmy-winning artist Labrinth to perform “Mount Everest” and “I’ve Never Felt So Alone” from the hit HBO series “Euphoria.”
The crowd was electric at the show in her hometown, which also happens to be the last US stop of the “No Time to Die” singer’s “Happier Than Ever” tour. Many attendees caught the mashup of “Mount Everest” and “I’ve Never Felt So Alone” on camera and have since circulated the rare videos across social media.
Since “Mount Everest”‘s initial release in 2019 and subsequent references in the show, fans have streamed the song or heard bites across social media. But unless they were at Eilish’s recent show, scrolling TikTok earlier this year, or watching the brief sync in season two of the series, “I’ve Never Felt So Alone” isn’t often heard at length.
While it was a rare gem to see Labrinth on stage, let alone perform cuts from the influential series, it’s not uncommon to see a surprise guest during an Eilish performance. Since Eilish’s tour commenced in February, we’ve also seen stars like Paramore’s Hayley Williams; her brother, Finneas; and Blur and Gorillaz’s frontman, Damon Albarn, join her on stage to surprise the audience.
Considering the cultural influence of “Euphoria,” this duet with the hit TV show’s composer was definitely special. For a glimpse of the performance and the crowd’s reaction, keep scrolling.
