Whether you were the nerd, the jock, the outcast, the popular kid, or the burnout in high school, there’s no denying that movies about teenagers are totally entertaining. In those formative years between the ages of 13 and 19, a person experiences many changing friendships, family dramas, and first times. Many talented filmmakers have turned those experiences into incredible teen movies. In “Catherine Called Birdy,” directed by Lena Dunham, “The Last of Us” star Bella Ramsey plays the titular Catherine, a typical medieval teenager. She has lots of friends and a complicated relationship with her parents, and she really, really, really doesn’t want to get married. But her family’s wealth is gone, so her dad (“Fleabag”‘s Andrew Scott) thinks marrying her off is the solution to her problems. The movie’s cast also includes Joe Alwyn. It’s a teen movie unlike any other.

“My Best Friend’s Exorcism” stars Elsie Fisher and Amiah Miller as Abby and Gretchen, BFFs in the 1980s. When a demon accidentally possesses Gretchen, Abby will do anything to save her. Their friendship is the center of this funny, coming-of-age horror tale.

"Romeo & Juliet"
