Even though we experienced some of the toughest times of our lives, there were a handful of pop culture moments that helped us make it through. Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt reunited not once but twice – yes, that happened this year! Jennifer Lopez and Shakira made the Latinx community feel seen with their statement-making Super Bowl halftime show performance, and Beyoncé put out “a celebratory memoir for the world on the Black experience” with Black Is King. Oh, and did you think we forgot about Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” collaboration? We’re still fanning ourselves from it! See, 2020 wasn’t all that bad. The real estate broker made history as the first-ever Black lead for season 25 of The Bachelor. He is the second Black star of the franchise, following Rachel Lindsay, who was the Bachelorette in season 13. Matt’s season of The Bachelor is set to premiere on ABC on Jan. 4.
November: Joe Biden Was Declared the President-Elect
And Kamala Harris made history as the nation’s first woman vice president! This was hands down the best news of the year.
