Seriously Single
Fulu Mugovhani and Tumi Morake star in this rom-com that’s about singledom as much as romance. After a breakup, a woman tries to lean into her best friend’s encouragement to embrace the single life and live it up. Unfortunately for her, she just can’t seem to stop obsessively checking on what her ex is up to on social media.
Desperados
A messy singleton (Nasim Pedrad) drunkenly sends a rambling email to a man she incorrectly thought had ghosted her, only to find out that he got into an accident and hasn’t seen the message yet. Cue a trip to Mexico with her two best friends (Anna Camp and Sarah Burns), desperately trying to get the message deleted before he can see it and figuring out where she really should be looking for love.
The Half of It
One part low-key rom-com, one part coming-of-age dramedy, The Half of It focuses less on the literal romance and more on the heartfelt development of its heroine, Ellie, played by breakout star Leah Lewis. When she agrees to ghostwrite love notes to help a jock (Daniel Diemer) woo a popular girl (Alexxis Lemire), Ellie begins to realize her own feelings and learns a lot about love and growing up along the way.
The Kissing Booth 2
Joey King and Jacob Elordi are back as teenage sweethearts Noah and Elle, whose relationship reaches its biggest test yet when Noah heads off to college while Elle stays behind for her senior year. Complicating matters further are Elle’s dilemma over college decisions and the arrival of a charming new classmate (Taylor Zakhar Perez) who strikes up a connection with Elle.
Love, Guaranteed
A dating apps “guarantees” that users will find love, but when one man (Damon Wayans Jr.) goes on a thousand dates without a real connection, he decides to sue. The lawyer (Rachael Leigh Cook) he hires is in a similar single boat – could this lawsuit, ironically, be the way to love for both of them?
Love Wedding Repeat
The premise of this comedy, starring Sam Claflin and Olivia Munn, is simple on the surface: a man tries to help his sister’s wedding go off without a problem, all while his long-held crush is there. The twist: we get to see several different scenarios of the wedding day play out, each one with its own complications.
The Lovebirds
Nothing delays a breakup quite like getting accidentally embroiled in a murder mystery! Watching this caper-meets-romance comedy, it’s hard to believe Issa Rae and Kumail Nanjiani aren’t the most popular rom-com leads in Hollywood right now – but at least we have this gem of a movie.
Rich in Love
The son of a wealthy businessman (Danilo Mesquita) takes a job working incognito at his father’s company. What he doesn’t expect is to fall in love with one of his coworkers (Giovanna Lancellotti) and, worried about what she’ll think, he invents a totally different background for himself – which, of course, slowly tumbles out of control.
To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You
Noah Centineo and Lana Condor return as Netflix’s most beloved onscreen couple in this sequel. Settling into a real relationship proves trickier than it seems for Peter and Lara Jean. Things only get more tangled with the arrival of John Ambrose McClaren (recast as Jordan Fisher), the last recipient of Lara Jean’s letters. As Lara Jean grows closer to John Ambrose, her relationship with Peter struggles, too.
Work It
Falling in love while dancing is a time-honored trope because it’s just so much fun! In this modern dance comedy starring Jordan Fisher and Sabrina Carpenter, an overachieving high school senior starts a dance troupe to pad out her résumé for college. Along the way, she discovers a real talent and love for dance, plus a sparking connection with a young choreographer.
