Love it or hate it, there’s one thing we can all agree on: we’re all glued to And Just Like That, the reboot of Sex and the City.
Fans and frenemies of the show will be excited to learn then, that a documentary about the making of the new series is dropping on BINGE tomorrow!
OG stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis will sit down to pay tribute to their beloved characters and discuss the journey of bringing them back in 2022.
The doco will also feature interviews with Mario Cantone, Evan Handler and David Eigenberg, aka Anthony, Harry and Steve.
It will also feature interviews with the new cast members, including Nicole Ari Parker, who plays Charlotte’s friend Lisa Todd Wexley, Karen Pittman, who plays Miranda’s friend and professor Dr. Nya Wallace, Sarita Choudhury, who plays Carrie’s friend and real estate agent Seema Patel, and Sara Ramírez, aka “Hey! It’s Che Diaz!”, perhaps the most controversial addition to And Just Like That…
The announcement of the doco’s premiere date promises “a unique behind-the-scenes look at the filming of the next chapter And Just Like That….“, and will also feature Sex and the City‘s creator Michael Patrick King, as well as the writers, costume designers, producers and crew to showcase the work that’s gone into bringing the series [back] to life.
Noticeably absent is Chris Noth, whose Mr Big character was killed off in episode one. Noth has recently faced multiple sexual assault allegations.
After the news broke, SJP, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon made a public statement standing with the women who came forward, saying:
“We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”
Originally slated for a dream sequence appearance in the season finale of And Just Like That…, Noth’s scene has since been cut. There’s no word on whether he was originally set to appear in the doco or not.
Whether we’ll get a second season of the show remains unconfirmed, but until we know more, at least we’ll have the doco!
So When and Where Can We Tune In?
BINGE has announced today that And Just Like That… The Documentary will drop at 7.01pm AEDT, this Thursday, February 3rd.
Basically, you’ll be able to watch it directly after the finale ep of the series drops, love that for us!
