Aesha Scott is back on board for another adventure in the latest spin off series, “Below Deck Down Under”. The 29-year-old made her debut on “Below Deck Mediterranean” in 2019 as a stewardess and quickly became a fan favourite. She won over viewers with her humor, charm, and dedication to her job.
For nearly a decade, Aesha worked hard serving the wealthy elite on yachts all over the globe. And then, her big break came: she landed a job as a stewardess on the popular reality series. Over the course of two seasons, she sailed through the Mediterranean, serving guests and working hard as part of the crew.
Now, the New Zealand native is taking on the role of chief stewardess while managing her own crew around the Whitsundays.
Thrilled to be part of the new series, Aesha told POPSUGAR Australia, “I was just so excited that I had the opportunity to launch a new series and really be part of what the flavour of that new series was.”
“There’s not many people that get to do a season one of something.”
One of the highlights of the season, according to Aesha, is the unique relationship she shares with Captain Jason.
“I don’t think there’s ever been a Stew/Captain relationship like the one that we have. So I think that’d be really cool for everyone to witness,” she said. “He’s just like a brother to me, we talk all the time.”
Aesha also formed close bonds with her fellow crew members, including Culver and Tumi, admitting she had a “really good crew”.
While the show presents its own set of challenges, Aesha found a sense of satisfaction in her work. “I got so much satisfaction out of that season because it proved to me that I could do it,” she explained.
How Does Australia Differ From the Mediterranean?
When asked how the show differs from her Mediterranean experience, Aesha described the two to be very different.
“In the Mediterranean, it’s very like traditional, high end style yachting. So I feel like with the clientele, there’s a bit more of like, a server/guest boundary,” she admitted.
“But I think in Australia … everyone’s so relaxed that you kind of break that barrier down. And you just have so much fun with the guest. It almost feels like they’re your friends instead of your guests.”
We can’t wait to see what kind of drama, challenges, and friendship awaits them on this new adventure Down Under. And with Aesha’s infectious energy and positive attitude, it’s sure to be a season to remember.
