Former Bachelor Australia runner-up Abbie Chatfield has refused to engage in idle talk about Matt Agnew, despite being left heartbroken due to his decision back in 2019.
The 26-year-old decided to revisit The Bachelor final and documented her reaction on her Instagram story.
“Tell me why my heart is racing,” she said while watching footage of her meeting Matt’s friends.
Matt was seen defending Abbie when his mates questioned why she was there in the first place.
“He’s so beautiful, isn’t he?” Abbie says as she continues watching.
“Honestly, I will not stand for an iota of Matt slander, he is the nicest man I’ve ever met,” she added.
“He was so beautiful to me. No matter what anyone says, he was so hot, and smart, and funny. You know, we love Matt.
“Just, you know, too bad it didn’t work out,” Abbie said.
“We can’t force people to love us, you know. I wish we could.”
Abbie was only 23-years-old during her time on the show, which she pointed out while watching.
“See, he still defended me,” she said of Matt.
“He’s so beautiful … love him, hope he’s doing well,” she added.
While she may not have been able to win over his heart, Abbie ended up winning I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! in 2020 as well as forging a successful business.
Safe to say, she’s doing perfectly fine.
