I’m a Beauty Editor and These Are the 10 Products You Should Buy From Selfridges
When it comes to beauty destinations you will be hard pressed to find a boujee-er retailer than Selfridges. Sure, the kids are all loving Sephora but for grown-up exclusives and special purchases, there is nothing like Selfridges for making you feel as if you’ve really treated yourself. I have to say I have spent many hours just walking around the beauty hall trying different scents and admiring beautiful packaging. Over the last 15 years, as a beauty editor I have often popped into Selfridges for inspiration and to see new exciting brands that you can’t buy anywhere else. I also love watching other shoppers and seeing what they have picked up. It is the ultimate people-watching destination and I like how there is everything from lower price brands like The Ordinary to fragrances that sell for an eye-watering £2,500.
Over the last 12 months the iconic retailer, with stores in London, Manchester and Birmingham, has been renovating its beauty department to ensure the customer experience is as good as it can be – which includes a new lighting set-up so you can ensure you always walk out with the correct shade – and giving all 37 counters a 2024 facelift. To celebrate the new look it is calling June its Big City Beauty Month with lots of events planned.
On Wednesday mornings the store offers a quiet hour so you can have a mooch around before the crowds descend, the music is amped up, and the madness begins – making it the perfect time for me to have a nosy around to find the top 10 exclusive Selfridges products especially for you. Oh, and the best bit? All the exclusives are available online too, which is great if you can’t make it to one of the physical stores. I can also confirm that getting those yellow boxes by post are almost as exciting as walking around with a bright yellow bag.
Read on to find out why it’s the only place you can smell Victoria and David Beckham‘s favourite hotel suite and why you need to know about Rabanne makeup.

Tatcha Luminous Deep Hydration Lifting Sheet Mask
Tatcha is one of the most beautiful, indulgent skincare brands out there right now. Every product feels like a trip to the spa, but with the benefits of being results-driven and targeted so it actually works. The products are at the higher end of the price bracket and these limited edition masks are perfect if you have a special event or occasion and need to give your skin a boost. I also have it on good authority that if you purchase in store the gifts with purchase make it well worth the travel costs!
Victoria Beckham Beauty Suite 302
Selfridges is the only place you can smell VB’s perfumes and as this one is meant to smell like Victoria and David’s favourite hotel room, and has a hint of the morning after rather than freshly visited by housekeeping. We will leave the rest to your imagination. It is also the only place you can try out all the sought after VB Kajal Liners, which I highly recommend.
Valentino Beauty Go Clutch Face Powder
I’m sorry but a powder that turns into a clutch with a matching lipstick, what’s not to love? The whole Valentino beauty range is exclusive to Selfridges and if you love this red packaging I would highly recommend you take a look. The products are what you would expect from a designer fashion house, meaning excellent colour pay off and high quality.
Cuit Infra Rough Extrait de Parfum
If you like a head-turning scent then this brand needs to be on your radar. All the fragrances are very different and will definitely get you noticed. This has top notes of sweet raspberry paired with deep leather base notes, making this contrasting scent a real treat to your senses.
Rabanne Mini Eyeshadow Palette
If you don’t know about Rabanne, you need to get to know. This range is enormous so if you are looking for an eyeshadow or lipstick this could be a good place to start. The finishes are long-lasting and highly pigmented, which means the colours you see in the palette look the same on your face. I was so impressed by these mini palettes and want to add about six to my makeup collection. Also a shout out to the body, face and hair shimmer, it is every 90s kid’s dream.
Bobbi Brown X Power Puff Girls Eyeshadow Palette
This limited edition collection is exclusive to Selfridges and if you are into kitsch makeup, then this is up there with the best of them. The collection contains this palette, a highlighter and a lipstick which all contain the colours and quality of the Bobbi Brown products we know and love mixed with this classic animation.
Isamaya Beauty Sheer Metallic Balm
This doesn’t need a lot of explanation does it? Isamaya has created probably the most risqué makeup line in history and it almost feels too iconic not to buy at least one, if you are into this type of thing. The lipstick may be described as sheer but it has a highly pigmented finish that really plumps the lips. The case is refillable too, so once you purchase the erm, penis, case you can continue using it.
Refy Summer Colour Collection Papaya Limited Edition Gift Set
Selfridges has a long tradition of impressive gifts with purchase and exclusive sets. This contains a cream blush, lip blush, and tinted lip gloss in this summer’s hottest shade. It is a great way to try out different products from the range and also bag yourself a branded Refy bag at the same time!
Morphe Huephoric Rush 3-in-1 Silk Blush
Love a cream blush but prefer a matte finish? This is for you! It comes in six shades and each one has a blurring effect on the skin. I really love the finish and for anyone looking for a new blush, which has great colour payoff, this is a great price point.
Dries Van Noten Lipstick
I love everything about these lipsticks. There are 4 beautiful designs so you can pick one that suits your style and taste. The lipstick comes in sheer, satin and matte so you can create the exact lipstick you prefer – I have a thing for the bright red Ruby Jimmy in matte. It is also refillable so once you have a case you can continue to use forever.
