It’s easy to assume most celebrities have at least one tattoo. Ariana Grande has nearly 30 that we know of, Miley Cyrus has more than we can count, and even Nick Jonas has his own small collection of ink with deeply personal meanings. On the flip side of that, there are other celebs who prefer to stay mum on the topic of tattoos, a good example being The Weeknd.
As a person with a successful career in such a creative field, the “Blinding Lights” singer is one person you might assume has his fair share of body art, but all available evidence (read: a scan through Getty Images and Instagram) suggests that he doesn’t have any tattoos – at least not any that we know of. Usually when The Weeknd is seen in public or when he shares content on social media, he does so with most of his body covered, so it’s nearly impossible to know if he has any without being someone who knows him personally. Given how much he’s stressed the importance of privacy to him, that’s not very surprising.
The star covered Harper’s Bazaar back in 2017 and mentioned that he prefers not to share too much of his life with the world. “I’m not in a rush to let people know everything about me. Mystery is always great,” he said. “Luckily, the only thing the world demands of me is music. I don’t have to give them anything else for the rest of my life.”
So the question of whether The Weeknd has any tattoos remains unknown, but that hasn’t stopped his fans from getting their own in his honor – both in the form of portraits and the letters “XO,” a song featured on his first album. We won’t rule out the possibility of him one day also getting a piece of ink, but for now, we’ll have to live in the mystery he calls so great.
