TikTok makeup hacks are in abundance on the app and you’re never far from discovering the latest tip or trick that will change the way you apply products to your face. The most recent tip we’ve picked up via the video-sharing app is a way to contour with the use of cream blush, bronzer and concealer.
Known as rainbow contour, this technique involves applying cream-based products to your face in the shape of a — you guessed it — rainbow. You simply swipe on thick lines of product before blending it in with a sponge or beautyblender to reveal dewy skin.
This technique, which was popularised by TikTok creators @rikkisandhuu and @serenalakkiss, relies on the use of cream-based products as these allow for easier application and makes it easier to blend for a flawless look.
To replicate this trend for yourself, draw on lines of blush, bronzer and concealer in the shape of a rainbow (as seen in the video below), spritz your face with a makeup setting spray and blend in with a damp sponge to melt the product into the skin. The end result is a full face of contoured makeup without the use of foundation or the need to layer products one after the other.
