Simone Biles has her head in the clouds and her nails painted to match. At her “cloud nine”-themed bridal shower, the Olympic gymnast wore a clean white manicure to match the party’s dreamy aesthetic. Biles celebrated her upcoming wedding with Jonathan Owens alongside friends and family, showing off her bright, almond-shaped nails and stunning engagement ring against a beaded halter-neck gown covered in tiny pearls. The minimalist manicure was visible as she toasted her guests and posed against a wall of balloons designed to look like fluffy clouds.
Biles has tried plenty of nail trends in the past, but in the days leading up to her wedding, she’s leaned toward more simplistic looks. Recently, she opted for shimmery glazed-doughnut nails during her “bach and boujee”-themed bachelorette in Belize, and she chose a timeless milk-bath manicure for her engagement nails back in February. Even when she does decide to add extra details to her nails, she still keeps it classic, like the small sparkling crystals on her birthday nails, or the tiny initials she wore on her ring finger in honor of her fiancé.
While we still don’t know exactly when Biles will be getting married or what she plans to do with her nails on her big day, if this bridal shower is any indication, she’s thought of every last detail. In the meantime, Biles has already revealed that she’ll be wearing a Galia Lahav gown, and having a beachy destination wedding. She also talked about the gold, white, and champagne palette on her Instagram Story, describing the wedding as “timeless, classy, and elegant.” Expect her nails to follow suit.
