MECCA Is Once Again Stocking the Cult Buly 1803 Scented Matches
Lovers of fragrance rejoice! The most luxurious matches that ever existed are back in stock at MECCA. Created by French brand L’Officine Universelle Buly 1803, which also makes a number of exquisite perfumes, diffusers and skincare products, the Scented Matches Annibal ($27) are coated in a scented solution so you’re greeted with a lovely scent when you strike a match.
These particular matches give off notes of bergamot, oak and cedar when lit — the perfect combination of a smoky, citrus scent. Use these to light your favourite candle, or to quickly extinguish bad smells from the air. The cardboard box in which these matches are housed is also extremely chic, while the matches themselves have a cobalt blue head.
MECCA previously stocked a number of different scents in the Buly 1803 Scented Matches range but unexpectedly stopped stocking the products a while ago. Thankfully, the Scented Matches in the scent Annibal are back in stock at MECCA and here’s hoping other fragrance matches from the brand will soon follow.
Buly 1803 isn’t the only brand with perfumed matches, with fellow French brand Cire Trudon also creating a range of elevated matches in a variety of scents. In fact, you can get your hands on seven different styles of these babies via Adore Beauty for $31 each.
While scented matches are undoubtedly not at all necessary when it comes to lighting candles, there is something truly special about the experience of using them.
