He gets it from his mom. On March 8, Scott Disick shared photos of his son Reign with brand-new bleached hair. Coincidentally, the 8-year-old perfectly matched his mom, Kourtney Kardashian, who also just dyed her hair platinum as a tribute to her younger self. Disick’s Instagram Stories featured a photo of Reign, who previously sported light brown hair, holding a football along with another profile shot showing the icy shade up-close.
Kardashian, a natural brunette, stuck by her dark hair for years. A photo from her teen years, however, convinced her it was time for a change. “1995 bored during finals, convinces someone to dye my hair blonde to procrastinate,” she captioned a throwback Instagram of her 17-year-old self with a similar blond cut, citing Drew Barrymore as another source of inspiration. She turned to colorist Cassondra Kaeding and stylist Glen Coco Oropeza to execute her bright-blond vision, debuting the final bleached bob in a lace-up leather corset.
While Reign may be the youngest of Kardashian and Disick’s three kids, he’s no stranger to beauty trends growing up in the Kardashian-Jenner household. In fact, he’s already experimented with a few different styles. For the first five years of his life, he grew his hair out, embracing his long, waist-length waves. Then, in a 2020 Instagram post, Kardashian sharedhis drastic buzz cut, writing “I am not ok.” As far as his blond hair goes, whether Reign actually drew inspiration from his mom or wanted to go lighter himself, he definitely proved that good hair runs in the family.
