Olivia Wilde is the latest celebrity proving the staying power of milk-bath nails. Wilde stepped out for a date night out with Harry Styles, and while he chose to wear a teal polish for the occasion, she kept her manicure a simple milky hue that was the cherry on top of her blue and floral outfit.
Milk-bath nails have been rising in popularity this year, coinciding with the “clean girl” nail aesthetic on TikTok. Although celebrity manicurist Elle Gerstein previously told POPSUGAR that the manicure typically includes dried flowers embedded into a milky colour acrylic, many celebrities have chosen to opt-out of the floral element and stick to the neutral white-pinkish polish shade. This allows the manicure to be versatile enough to be done on a variety of nail types like gel or gel-x.
The milky-hued manicure has been seen on celebrities like Kylie Jenner, Selena Gomez, and Jennifer Lopez, and is a perfect year-round manicure that can be worn by itself or used as a base for other nail-art designs.
