They had a rollercoaster ride in the “Love Island” villa, but Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page have proved their relationship is going from strength to strength now they are outside of the reality TV bubble. In a decidedly permanent move, the couple got matching tattoos on 27 Aug.
It’s been less than a month since the “Love Island” final which saw Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu and Davide Sanclimenti crowned the winners of the 2022 series, yet Ghouri and Le Page have been keen to show they feel like the real winners after finding true love with each other. Posting pictures on their Instagram stories, they revealed matching rose tattoos. Le Page told followers: “So today is a very special day, might be getting a little something together. Stay tuned” as they walked along the road in London.
Ghouri got the ink on her neck, just below her cochlear implant, which is another way the 24-year-old highlights her superpower and slams the ableist abuse she received while in the villa. Le Page, 27, chose to get inked on his hand, next to his thumb and index finger. They visited the Londfrrrfrgddon Social Tattoo studio in Soho, London, a celebrity favourite which has also illustrated the likes of Romeo Beckham and Sam Smith.
Despite a rocky Casa Amor stint during the show, Ghouri and Le Page ended the eight weeks stronger than ever by becoming boyfriend and girlfriend and declaring their love for each other, so this permanent declaration of love is just another step in affirming their relationship. Their tattoo revelation came just hours before fellow Islanders Luca Bish and Gemma Owen cemented their boyfriend-girlfriend status with a rose-adorned proposal and Cartier bracelet. Yes, the 2022 class of “Love Island” don’t do things half-heartedly.
Le Page, who is originally from Guernsey, has been staying with Ghouri, who has recently been named as eBay’s first preloved ambassador, in London. It’s been an upward trajectory for the couple since the end of the show and this latest long-lasting tribute shows they really are in it for the long haul.
