Harry Styles pulled out all the stops for Pleasing’s highly anticipated second drop. The “Golden” singer enlisted fellow music legend Mick Fleetwood to model his beauty brand’s new Shroom Bloom capsule collection, and the campaign images are pure, whimsical magic. Pleasing’s latest range includes four new nail polish shades inspired by nature – pale green, mushroom beige, bold red, and holographic glitter – in addition to an overnight serum packed with malic and hibiscus acids and a nourishing hand and nail balm made with shea butter and snow mushroom. As the face of the launch, Fleetwood wears several colorful varnishes at once while posing in a groovy zebra-print suit and various limited-edition shirts from the brand’s accompanying merchandise line.
Speaking to “Vogue” about his long-standing affinity for nail polish, Fleetwood says, “Back in the day in London, I used to wear near polish and all sorts of stuff, and the attitude was, ‘So what?’ It didn’t have anything to do with sexuality. It’s not about that. It’s about having fun.” He echoes similar sentiments while explaining why he’s drawn to Pleasing’s message of self-expression and discovery. “Pleasing is this experience of, ‘Why not?’ or ‘I’ve never thought of that’ – and that’s why I’m part of it,” he tells “Vogue.” “It says, here’s something, either literally or figuratively, to hold your hand while we’re all on this journey. That’s what it means to me.”
Pleasing first launched back in November 2021 with a quartet of pearly nail polishes, an illuminating primer, and a dual-ended eye serum and lip oil pen. The preorder unsurprisingly sold out, and we’re expecting a similar outcome when the Shroom Bloom collection drops.
