Descendants star Dove Cameron made an appearance at a gala in Los Angeles over the weekend dressed in Gucci with shiny, dark brown hair. Hairstylist Clayton Hawkins and colourist Matt Rez transformed Cameron into a brunette beauty for the event.
While Cameron will always be known as an iconic blonde, this isn’t the first time she’s traded in her lighter hair. In March of 2021, Cameron shared a photo on Instagram standing at a mic in a recording studio with no makeup on and her hair pulled back in a tight, low bun or ponytail. Although most of her hair was hidden, what we could see was clearly a dark brown shade.
The caption, which read “Finishing touches,” didn’t address the new hair colour, but a few eagle-eyed fans caught the change. Before that, Cameron hadn’t dyed her hair in a while, but she’s by no means new to the activity. She’s dyed her hair hot pink, black, purple, red, and platinum blonde over the years. No matter what colour she experiments with, she always returns to her golden-blonde roots.
