David Beckham is a man of many hairstyles. Over the years, we’ve seen him with long hair, short hair, those iconic curtains, and even a mohawk, sparking legions of fans to copy his looks. But since entering his 40s, he’s been a one-style kind of guy. A cropped cut, longer at the top of his head and styled into a small quiff, has been his look of choice of late . . . until now.
The former soccer player and part owner of Inter Miami FC, posted a selfie on Aug. 13 showing off a new buzz cut. “Nothing much changes get bored of my hair chop it off,” he wrote next to the photo with a crying-with-laughter emoji. While Beckham can pull off any hairstyle, it’s been a while since we’ve seen him debut a bold transformation. This time, he’s also grown a little stubble, so there’s more hair on his face than his head.

He’s known for inspiring generations of soccer and fashion fans, but Beckham’s hair has most recently inspired his son Romeo. The 20-year-old is already following in his dad’s footsteps by embarking on a career in soccer, and now it seems his look is heading the same way. He posted a selfie a day earlier on his Instagram Stories, writing, “@peteburkill helping me bring back dads buzzz,” alongside a photo of a much younger David with a buzz cut and shaved stripe at the front, copied exactly by Romeo. To which David responded, “Looking good.”

It’s not just David’s hair that has been getting some extra attention recently, but his entire beauty routine. Earlier in the month, he posted a snap of his 12-year-old daughter, Harper, giving him a little makeup touch-up, declaring her “my little makeup artist.” It’s clear both David and his wife, Victoria, are continuing to inspire their kids, also including Brooklyn, 24, and Cruz, 18, every day. We just wonder which one might rock David’s infamous ’90s curtains next.
