The Award For Best Oscars Beauty Looks Go To . . .

If you recall last year’s academy awards, the stars came to impress in the hair, nails, and makeup department, but the 2023 Oscars are shaping up to be even better (as are the gift bags the nominees will be receiving). With Jimmy Kimmel as the host and a stacked list of presenters like Emily Blunt, Dwayne Johnson, Michael B. Jordan, Janelle Monáe, Cara Delevingne, and Kate Hudson, plus attendees from all of the hottest films from the last year, you can expect to be entertained from the minute the ceremony starts.

After a virtual show in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2022 saw celebrities flock to the red carpet to show off their ensembles and matching hair, makeup, and nails in person – but they were just getting warmed up. This year’s showing is expected to be even bigger, and we have a feeling the beauty details will follow suit. Some of our favorite looks from last year included Zendaya’s chrome nails, Tati Gabrielle’s micro braided bob, and Lupita Nyong’o’s fishtail locs.

So far, the biggest hairstyle trend of the night is an updo with something extra – whether that’s braids, double buns, or, in the case of Florence Pugh, faux bangs – while the night’s manicures range from milk bath nails to bold, abstract designs. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Though the night has just begun, keep scrolling to see the best hair and makeup looks from the 2023 Oscars.
