Amazon Prime Day Has Officially Started — Here Are the Beauty Sales We’re Shopping

This month presents quite a few opportunities for consumers to bag a bargain, what with the plethora of end of financial year sales that are happening as well as Amazon Prime Day. Running from 12am AEST Monday, June 21 to 5pm AEST Wednesday, June 23, Amazon Prime Day is a 65-hour long sale that gives you deals on everything from tech, appliances and video games to fashion and beauty.

This global shopping event is only available for Amazon Prime members, so in order to access these discounts, you do have to sign up to the monthly membership. Amazon Prime costs $6.99 per month, so while not outrageously expensive, it is an added expense — especially if you’ve already got a bunch of other streaming subscriptions.

There is a way to get around this, by signing up the Amazon Prime with its 30-day free trial. If you happen to time the trial correctly, you’ll be able to score a few deals over Amazon Prime Day and can cancel your membership before the trial is over.

While deals will continue to be dropped over the next few hours, Amazon has released a bunch of sales on your favourite beauty brands across a number of categories including haircare, skincare and fragrances. A few of the beauty sales are as follows:

• 60 percent off select fragrances including Calvin Klein and Hugo Boss
• Up to 50 percent off hair and nail brands including OPI and Wella
• Save on a wide range of FOREO devices, with some over 50 percent off
• Shop makeup from brands like Maybelline, Revlon, Rimmel and Covergirl, with prices starting as low as $1.77
• Up to 50 percent off haircare products from TRESemme, Garnier and more
• Shop Olaplex’s best-selling Hair Perfector No.3 for just $36.95
• Up to 29 percent off ghd styling tools
• Save on skincare brands like Sukin, NIVEA and Neutrogena, with prices starting at $0.80

This is just a taste of the sales happening over on Amazon at the moment. A few particular favourites of ours include the sale on the FOREO Luna Mini 2 Facial Cleansing Brush ($199), which is currently $95. This device helps to remove 99.5 percent of dirt oil and dead skin cells from the skin while also unclogging pores and removing makeup residue. The dream!

You can also save big on fragrances, with Calvin Klein’s CK One ($89) currently selling for $22.99. Nail polish lovers can score up to 60 percent off OPI nail polishes, with many polishes currently costing $7.99 — down from $19.95.

Before the official start of Prime Day, Amazon released a few deals early on selected skincare products, from brands like L’Oreal, Weleda and Sukin and these are still on sale. Weleda Skin Food ($25.95) lovers can currently score a 75ml tube for $12.30 or a tub of the Skin Food Body Butter ($31.95) for $16.71.

Save some serious coin on Sukin goodies, which are currently on mega sale. Grab a one-litre bottle of the Sukin Signature Botanical Body Wash ($17.95) for just $6.66, or the Moisture Restoring Night Cream ($19.95) for $7.39. NIVEA fans can also snap up a few deals via Amazon, with a number of discounts across the brand’s skincare and body product range.
