Whether you’re a lash lift and tint diehard or swear by eyelash extensions, you can probably admit that the cost of bi-weekly/monthly maintenance can make you and your bank account shed a tear. The solution? At-home DIY tint kits.
Most tint kits variations involve mixing together activators and pigment creams, much like boxed hair dye. But if you’re looking for an affordable swipe then wipe solution that’ll get the job done in less than 30 minutes, give Amaia Lashes’ $38 Lash Tint a go.
From one tube of Amaia Lashes’ Tint, you’ll get 28-32 uses that’ll last you 10-14 days at a time. The vegan and cruelty-free formula uses henna pigments, derived from the Lawsonia inermis plant, to temporarily stain the hairs. And it can be done in 10-15 minutes.
Here’s how:
Step 1: Wipe off any excess oils, leftover makeup or dirt from your eyelids and lashes with a cotton pad and Micellar cleanser. Grab a cotton bud and apply Vaseline to the areas of skin where you don’t want the henna to stain.
Step 2: Using the spoolie inside the Amaia Lashes tube or a clean disposable brush, apply the tint like mascara — coating all the hairs.
Step 3: Let the formula develop for 15 minutes. Then, remove with a damp cotton pad. Now your lashes should look fuller and more defined.
Please follow instructions carefully and spot test to ensure you’re not allergic to the product.
