The 11 Beauty Products We’re Buying From the Adore Beauty Click Frenzy Sale
As POPSUGAR editors, we independently select and write about stuff we love and think you’ll like too. POPSUGAR has affiliate and advertising partnerships so we get revenue from sharing this content and from your purchase.
Click Frenzy is on Tuesday, May 16 to Thursday, May 18, but many sales have already started. And we can always rely on our friends at Adore Beauty to get in on the action.
For us, Adore Beauty is all about beloved staple products — the cult classics that we buy backups of to avoid that panic-inducing empty moment. If you’re looking for a new handbag essential, or your top shelf needs a spruce up, we’ve rounded up the best products from the sale.
You’ll find discounts on iconic products like the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation ($105), Lancôme Mascaras, and skincare from cosmeceutical ranges like Aspect, Dermalogica and La Roche-Posay. The Adore Beauty Click Frenzy sale has officially started and will run until Thursday, May 18 at midnight. Currently, it’s offering up to 50% off across its site and if you spend over $179 you’ll receive a Mystery Goodie Bag. Use code: FRENZY to redeem.
Innisfree, Matte Mineral Setting Powder
We gravitate towards “investment” powders. Think fairy-dust weight concoctions with fancy hydrating ingredients that promise a poreless but-hydrated complexion. Innisfree’s Matte Mineral Setting Powder ($13) has the light-as-air consistency we love in high-end loose powders and an invisible finish and comes in at 86 per cent less than other pricier alternatives.
Important to note when checking reviews: this is the same “No-Sebum” Korean best-seller that was renamed in the American market.
Skinceuticals CE Ferulic Serum
This serum tops every beauty editor’s must-have list because it delivers fast results in an efficient, makeup, sunscreen-friendly formula. Skinceuticals’ CE Ferulic Serum ($236) neutralises free radicals with patented actives (15% vitamin C and 1% vitamin E with Ferulic Acid). Think of this serum as your daytime antioxidant shield, protecting your complexion from the elements while stimulating collagen production and evening your skin tone.
Yves Saint Laurent, Touche Éclat Radiant Highlighter Pen
Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Éclat Radiant Highlighter Pen ($74) launched in 1992. It’s since become an iconic complexion product and a perennial best seller. Today, it’s still loved by celebrities like Zoë Kravitz, Rosie Huntington Whitely, Meghan Markle, and Victoria Beckham. Launched long before the shimmer-packed highlighting products of the naughties, the Touche Éclat is neither a highlighter nor a concealer. It contains crystal-like prisms nestled in a sheer coverage, a glycerin base that, when applied correctly, lifts hollow areas, and high points of the face to banish signs of fatigue.
It Cosmetics, Your Skin But Better SPF50+ CC+ Cream
It Cosmetics’ Your Skin But Better, SPF50+ CC+ Cream ($71) is the child all the others are jealous of. Why? With a mistake-proof, high coverage, smoothing formula that plays nicely with your skincare, and lightweight, handbag-friendly packaging — it’s just easy to get along with.
Pat a grain of rice-sized amount on with fingers for a polished, no-makeup makeup look or apply with a sponge for nearly full coverage. Either way, this is a perfect, zero-fuss foundation.
Alpha-H, Melting Moments Cleansing Balm With Wild Orange Leaf Extract
Balm cleansers cut your makeup removal time in half and are the perfect slippy-grippy consistency for an in-front-of-the-TV Gua Sha session. The Alpha-H, Melting Moment Cleansing Balm ($69.95) is one of our favourites. Delightfully peachy, the sorbet-style formulation glides onto skin, literally melting makeup away in an instant.
Wild orange leaf extract makes for an uplifting sensory experience, and most importantly, the formula washes away totally clean. Watch the pumpkin-coloured balm transform into a milky emulsion upon contact with water, leaving your complexion hydrated, sparkling clean, and ready for the next step in your regimen.
Estée Lauder, Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex
Do you associate Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair ($173) with your mum’s beauty cupboard? If you do, that’s only a sign your mum’s skincare game was on point. Launched in 1982 Advanced Night Repair was one of the first serums that focused on strengthening the complexion, (and the first to use hyaluronic acid) and is just as skin-softening, brightening, and hydrating as it was back then.
Updated only four times in forty years, and with some interesting collaborations along the way Advanced Night Repair triggers collagen production with patented molecule microRNA, that leaves your complexion smooth and soothed, with a velvety, soft focus finish after just a few weeks of use. It will always have the hearts of mums everywhere, and it should have yours too.
Laneige, Cream Skin Toner & Moisturiser
Known for highly Instagrammable Lip Sleeping Masks, Laneige also has a suite of other skin treats you should be across. One of them is the Cream Skin Toner and Moisturiser ($41). Cream Skin Toner is the perfect “Skipcare” product, combining the hydrating benefits of emollient cream, with the texture of a water essence.
The gel-milk texture is achieved with patented Cream Blending Technology™, which leaves a very light film on the complexion. For dry, barrier-impaired skin types this will give you a head start on an emollient heavy skincare routine, for oily skin types, this might be all you need. Either way, you’ll be looking forward to a supple, soft complexion that feels juicy all day.
The Balm, Opposites Attract Magnetic Eyeshadow Palette
Every makeup lover needs a solid, neutral eyeshadow palette, and The Balm’s Opposites Attract Magnetic Eyeshadow Palette ($39.95) answers your everyday shadow needs without breaking the bank.
Full of cool-toned neutrals, Opposites Attract has the added benefit of coming in a magnetic palette. This is more sustainable, because you can replace shadows as you go, without repurchasing a bulky palette. And also very handy as you can customise your perfect palette, even adding favourite shadows from other palettes as you go (there are many tutorials on how to do this, so to avoid disaster, head straight to Youtube before attempting).
Giorgio Armani, Luminous Silk Foundation
Launched in 2000, Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation ($105) has been a heavily name-dropped red carpet complexion product for 22 years. That’s right, just like the Taylor Swift song. Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Meghan Markle, Reese Witherspoon, and Cate Blanchett are on the non-exhaustive list of A-listers who reach for this photogenic product on the reg.
Why? Luminous Silk can be layered for anywhere between sheer to close-to-full coverage, without tell-tale caking. Slippy but never sticky, the formula glides over the skin, leaving you looking like you’re wearing nothing but the flawless skin you were born with.
La Roche-Posay, Anthelios Ultra Facial Sunscreen SPF 50+
Double cleanse and skin cycle as much as you like, if you’re not wearing sunscreen — particularly in Australia where we experience the highest levels of UV radiation in the world — you’re setting yourself up for not only fine lines, pigmentation, and wrinkles, but life-threatening disease. So, it’s important to find a sunscreen you like to wear.
The La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra Facial Sunscreen SPF 50+ ($35.95) is a great option for dry skin types who find chemical sunscreens that can sensitise their skin and eyes. With SPF50+ protection, it shields against UVA and UVB rays. Apply 20 minutes before sun exposure and remember that sunscreen is only one part of sun protection, so avoid prolonged sun exposure, seek shade, and reapply every two hours.
Bobbi Brown, Ulla Johnson Collection Extra Lip Tint
We have a fiendish obsession with Bobbi Brown Lip Tints, ($56). Enriched with olive, avocado, and jojoba oils, these balms hydrate and plump while smoothing the surface of the lip. We love that they don’t have a super glossy finish but are more hydrating than a stain, and the shades are perfect, particularly “Bare Pink” which gives a flawless “your lips but better” finish. This limited edition Ulla Johnson packaging is perfectly 1950s and very limited edition.
