Ice Spice’s Tattoos Include a Y2K-Inspired Back Design
Ice Spice has quickly made a name for herself in the music industry. Ever since the release of her hit 2023 EP “Like..?,” the 24-year-old rapper has gained global recognition, having collaborated with top artists such as Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj. She’s also received four Grammy nods, including one for the coveted best new artist trophy. Along with making chart-topping hits, the Bronx native is renowned for her unique, statement-worthy fashion and beauty moments (like her signature orange hair). And with the reveal of Ice Spice’s back tattoo, it’s evident that she also likes to channel her creativity through body art.
In November 2023, the “Deli” singer debuted her freshly minted lower-back tattoo, highly reminiscent of the early aughts, for the first time. This elaborate “tramp stamp“-style ink appears to tie into the resurgent Y2K concept of her highly anticipated forthcoming debut full-length album, “Y2K.” However, when it comes to tattoos, this is far from her first rodeo; she has three other known inks, all neatly placed on her left arm. In fact, Ice Spice can rightfully add “tattoo artist” to her long list of talents. In November 2023, the “Barbie World” rapper inked a tattooist named Hunter Chao with a design that reads, “Ice was here,” on the back of his hand, accompanied by a small smiley emoticon.
Ahead, we have rounded up Ice Spice’s four known tattoos, including her latest quintessential Y2K-inspired lower-back tattoo. Read on to learn about the rapper’s growing ink collection and their meanings.
Ice Spice’s “Munch” Hand Tattoo
In March 2023, Ice Spice got the word “Munch” tattooed in red ink on the side of her left pinky finger. The tattoo marks a significant stepping stone in the rapper’s musical career, as she first rose to fame with her August 2022 single of the same name, “Munch (Feelin’ U).”
Ice Spice’s Butterfly Arm Tattoo
On the inside of her left forearm, Ice Spice has a beautiful butterfly design in red and black ink. Though the inspiration behind this vibrant piece isn’t known, butterflies typically symbolize transformation and growth.
