Let’s Talk SAG 2024 Nominations: Who’s In, Who’s Out, and What to Expect
So, after shaking things up with a game-changing strike, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) is gearing up for the 30th Annual SAG Awards. And boy, have they dropped some bombshell nominations for us to dissect! Set to stream on Netflix come February 24, this one promises to be a star-studded celebration “for actors, by actors”. Ahead, find the full list of 2024 SAG Award nominations.
In a déjà vu moment from the Golden Globes, Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” and Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” are back as the lead film nominees. These heavyweights snagged four nominations each, including the sought-after Best Ensemble category.
Margot Robbie’s impressive awards season journey gains momentum as she secures a SAG nomination for her role as Barbie. Adding to the Aussie presence, Sarah Snook and Elizabeth Debicki earned well-deserved nominations for their outstanding performances in “Succession” and “The Crown”.
Now, switching gears to the small screen, “Succession” secured a whopping five nominations. The series is clearly doing something right, and we can’t wait to see if they’ll sweep the awards.
But hey, no awards show is complete without a few snubs and surprises. Leonardo DiCaprio got the cold shoulder in the Best Male Actor category for “Killers of the Flower Moon”, and Mark Ruffalo is MIA from the Best Supporting Actor list for “Poor Things”. Plot twist, right?
So, without further ado, lets find out the nominees.
