Everyone We’ve Said Goodbye to on “LEGO Masters: Grand Masters”
Back for an epic season, “LEGO Masters” has brought back the best of the best from previous years and a surprise wild card duo in search of the Grand Masters of mini brick building.
This means two things. One, intricately designed LEGO masterpieces that will have you in awe of the creativity and execution. And two, Hamish Blake takes over your television on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings (yay!). The popular Aussie talent returns for season five of the show with judge, Ryan “Brickman” McNaught, the only LEGO Certified Professional in the southern hemisphere.
This season is said to be most difficult yet. Each team is battling it out for a shot at $100,000 prize money and the title of “Grand Masters”. And the skills of the 16 contestants have been put to the test with some interesting design prompts. So far, they have had to create self-climbing contraptions and try their hand at making hyper-realistic objects. So, we can only expect more exciting builds in episodes to come.
However, only one team can be crowned the champions. Here’s everyone who’s left “LEGO Masters” so far.
Ryan & Gabby
Following the “biggest builds ever” in “LEGO Masters” Australia history, Ryan and Gabby missed out on entering the “Grand Masters” Finale. Brickman noted that the proportions of their carousel horse were not up to the team’s usual standards.
Damian & Andrew
In the last elimination before finals week, Damian and Andrew’s storytelling build missed the mark.
David & Gus
Return competitors, David and Gus were eliminated after their storytelling build didn’t meet the standard of other “LEGO Masters” builds. Many were sad to see them go, especially after their win and epic builds in season 3.
Sarah & Henry
Sarah from “LEGO Masters” season three and season one’s Henry, lost their shot at the title when their putt putt golf course build fell short of a storytelling element during the “All In” challenge.
Kale & Trent
Season one OG, Kale and season two returnee, Trent were eliminated from the competition after missing the brief with their rollercoaster build. “The challenge was about the rollercoaster, and sadly we only got a glimpse of our superhero,” noted Brickman.
“LEGO Masters: Grand Masters” continues on Sundays at 7pm, Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:30pm on Channel Nine and 9Now.
