Halle Bailey arrived at the 95th Academy Awards looking like a true princess in a stunning aqua tulle gown. The actress plays the iconic role of Ariel in the upcoming live-action version of “The Little Mermaid“. And she sure did steal the show on the red carpet with her ethereal look.
Bailey was looking and giving all the “Little Mermaid” vibes in her custom-made Dolce and Gabbana dress. She paired it with a simple yet elegant updo, allowing her dress to take centre stage.
Speaking live on the carpet, the 22-year-old said she chose the dress specifically to give her a “princess for the day” vibe.
“It’s a beautiful poofy dress to go in the fairytale world and give princess for the day. I was really excited to sing the original songs that I loved the new ones. And I think the new ones everyone will love,” she admitted.
Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of “The Little Mermaid” this May. Bailey’s look at the Oscars has only added to the excitement. The extended trailer for the movie is dropping during the ceremony, giving fans a glimpse of Bailey in action as Ariel.
“The Little Mermaid trailer is coming out tonight,” Bailey teased.
It’s not the first time the actress has attended the Academy Awards looking like a Disney princess. Making her official Oscars debut in 2022, Bailey wore a bright teal single-strap gown featuring a side cutout and wrap-style skirt with a thigh-high slit.
