Katy Perry going back to the basics with her nails. On Jan. 28, the singer attended the G’Day USA Arts Gala in LA wearing a metallic two-piece Zimmerman set and a milk-bath manicure to finish it off.
Perry’s nails were filed into an oval shape and painted a creamy-pink color – the quintessential shade used to give the nails a milky finish. Perry opted out of any additional nail-art designs, allowing the simple color to shine on its own. The rest of Perry’s look included a monochromatic peach makeup look and a sleek updo.
Milk-bath manicures have been spotted on numerous Hollywood A-listers, and have become a staple for red carpets and formal occasions. The look has been spotted on Jennifer Lopez, Megan Markle, and Kim Kardashian, among others. The color also makes the perfect base for fun nail art like french tips, Kawaii designs, and more.
