It’s not Halloween without the Steam Halloween sale (an untested theory that I’m fairly sure is accurate) and this year’s sale has kicked off with hundreds of deals on stellar horror games.

There are deals on games about the supernatural (vampire survival sandbox V Rising is 20% off), the scary (the co-op ghost hunter Phasmophobia is under $16) and the spooktacular (the irresistibly devious Cult of the Lamb is also 20% off). Special game bundles and DLCs are available, with certain games doing themed in-game events to celebrate. And if you’ve been hoarding your Steam Points like a kid trick or treating, you can now spend them on new avatars, frames, backgrounds, profiles and stickers in the Points Shop. But we all know the games are the real stars here, so we’ve taken a deep breath and plunged into the depths to dig up the best deals in the Steam Halloween sale, which is live until November 1.
