You Can Now Shop On Depop In The Sims 4

The Venn diagram of Depop girlies and Sims girlies is a circle now. The online fashion marketplace has teamed up with The Sims 4 to bring a version of the app to the game that Sims can use to buy and sell second-hand outfits.

The in-game app, called Trendi, is part of the new Sims 4 expansion pack, High School Years. The expansion pack introduces a huge amount of new content for teenage Sims, as they embark on a journey of self discovery and experience the drama of (American) high school. Sims will attend class, hang out with friends, have lunch in the cafeteria and even take exams, because homework comes for everyone, even Sims. When the bell rings and school’s out, Sims can attend extracurricular activities like football and cheerleading or take a date to Plumbite Pier, housing an amusement park with a haunted house, tunnel of love, ferris wheel and a photobooth.

Another new location, ThrifTea, is part of the partnership with Depop. The local thrift store and boba hangout will stock outfits that have been designed by five of the most popular Depop sellers.

Australian seller Sha’an D’Antes (@furrylittlepeach) has created illustrated pieces inspired by her IRL collection, as well as Styled Looks you can find in Create A Sim. US-based Bella (@internetgirl) is selling pinstripe capri pants and a custom beaded necklace while Jeremy (@happyxloco) has designed a selection of graffiti-inspired jackets and sweatshirts in his signature style. British sellers Selena Williams (@selenasshop) and Lapoze McTribouy of Sooki Sooki Vintage (@judaku) have created a number of looks, including Y2K-inspired flared jeans and a red cropped corset.

And when you want to take a turn being a top seller, you can load up Trendi to hype up your outfits and sell them on for Simoleons. Your Sim can even become an influencer in the process!

The release date for The Sims 4 High School Years expansion pack is July 28. Preorders are live now for PS5 and PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S and PC and Mac on Origin and Steam.
