From 7 July, you can awaken your tastebuds with two new Frappuccino blends: Banana Split and Passionfruit Raspberry. Built with layers to create a stripy effect, they are bursting to get a space on your Instagram feed.
While nostalgic Y2K fashion might be the style trend of summer and the latest photos from the “Barbie” film set have had us yearning for our childhood dolls, now is the time for beverages to get the retro treatment. The new Banana Split Frappuccino Blended Beverage, inspired by the old-school dessert, sees layers of caramelised banana sauce, coffee, and mocha, topped with whipped cream and a mocha drizzle. Yes, we’re drooling already.
If you prefer more of a sour taste, then it’s worth opting for the Passionfruit Raspberry Frappuccino Blended Beverage. It is raspberries and passionfruit on a crème base with vanilla and ice, topped with pink berry sprinkles. The stripy effect is made for a selfie, too. The summer menu officially launches on Thursday, but Starbucks Rewards members can get exclusive early access.
Plus, both new drinks can be made with one of the five dairy alternatives at no extra charge. For a more sustainable experience, Starbucks also has a domed-lid cold cup available to buy, and you can get 25p off your order.
