Tones and I is Playing an Exclusive Concert in Fortnite So Here’s How to Watch
Live music might be on hold in most parts of Australia right now, but Fortnite is bringing gigs to the metaverse with the Soundwave Series. Epic has just announced the next artist in the series is our very own Tones and I, who’ll be playing an exclusive in-game concert this weekend.
The Tones and I Fortnite show will kick off at 10am on Saturday, January 22. She’ll be playing songs from her debut studio album ‘Welcome to the Madhouse’ in a custom-build interactive environment that will take you on an adventure through the madhouse. Fortnite community creators Team Alliance and TheBoyDilly built the interactive experience based on the album — as you listen, you’ll be taken on a tour inspired by the songs for a truly unforgettable experience.
“The Madhouse experience in Fortnite is sick and I can’t wait for you all to see it,” said Tones and I.
How to Watch the Tones and I Fortnite Show
The concert is free to watch — all you need is to have Fortnite installed on your PC, PlayStation, Xbox or Switch. From the game’s Discover menu, you’ll see a tile to enter Soundwave Series: Tones and I. You can also enter with the Island code 4161-9206-0181.
The Tones and I Fortnite show will play non-stop for 72 hours (until 10am on Tuesday, January 25), giving you plenty of time to catch the concert if you miss the start. You’ll earn an exclusive Tones and I spray by watching, and XP if you watch it more than once.
If you want to play while you watch, you can also stream the show with the Picture-in-Picture feature in Battle Royale playlists. This option is only available at certain times during the event and you won’t be able to access the interactive elements of the show. Still, it’s a good way to relive the show if you’ve already watched it once and can’t wait to jump back into a game.
How to Get the Dance Monkey Emote
Tones and I is even getting her own Fortnite emote based on her record-breaking single ‘Dance Monkey’. The emote will be available in the Item Shop from 11am on Thursday, January 20. Check it out below:
You can also buy the Cloudy Day Lobby Track from the Item Shop at the same time. It’s a good time to be a Tones and I fan.
