How to Manifest Your Dreams With the New Moon
You’re probably familiar with full moon energy, but what about new moon energy? The full moon is a great time to cleanse your space (and crystals!) while the new moon is the perfect time to set intentions and try your hand at manifestation. A new moon represents the beginning of a new cycle, so creating rituals at this time allows you to use this new energy to ask the universe for what you want.
According to breathwork teacher and author, Ashley Neese, combine “asking for what you want with the clean slate of the new moon and you have a potent recipe for creating the vision you most desire”. This is the time to map out what you want to achieve for the coming weeks and months so don’t waste this special energy.
A new moon occurs once every month, before the monthly full moon. To keep track of when this is happening, websites like Time and Date can tell you when this is happening in your time zone.
Clutter, be gone
Before sitting down to write your intentions, it’s best to give your space a little bit of declutter. Clear away any rubbish from your home, clean your space and donate any objects that no longer serve you. “I make my bed, put some fresh flowers in a vase, and vacuum to clear out any stagnant vibes and create a clean slate around me so I can think more clearly without any distractions,” says Soulshine Astrology.
Set the tone
Creating a cosy vibe around your intention setting is an important part of the ritual. Once your space is clean, light some candles, turn on some calming music and even burn some sage if you have some. Then, once you’ve really set the scene, you’re ready to put pen to paper.
Journal it out
This is where you can manifest what you would like to see happen in your life. Taking a piece of paper or notebook, jot down 10 things you would like to manifest in the coming weeks or months. “Be sure to write your statements in positive and affirming language, ‘I am’ and not ‘I need’ or ‘I want’,” says Neese. “Focus on what you want, not what you don’t want.”
This is your time to dream big — jot down anything you would like to achieve and remember to push aside any judgement or negativity that might creep in.
When writing your list, make sure to note down how everything feels. Spend time noticing how each point on your list makes you feel. “If it isn’t resonating with you 100 percent do not put it on your list,” says Neese. “Part of this practice is learning to feel as if you already have what you want, this is basic Law of Attraction, if you can feel it with your entire body it will be more likely to come into reality.”
