Without fail, every year, I’m certain that I have my gift buying under control — only to find myself at the shops last-minute to tick off the remaining few on my list. 

Generally, it’s at this point that I panic buy presents for my sisters-in-law (who are, by the way, teenagers and therefore extremely hard to buy for) and Dad (because he buys everything he wants for himself).
