Here’s How to Watch the Combined Full Moon and Partial Lunar Eclipse Happening This Week
The second last full moon for 2021 will occur on November 19 at 6:27pm AEDT. Happening alongside this full moon is a partial lunar eclipse and, in some very welcome news, this eclipse event will be visible in parts of Australia so you can catch the show.
According to timeanddate.com, this will be the longest partial eclipse since the 15th century and if the night sky is clear on the evening of November 19, you should be able to see it from your vantage point. You can check the visibility of the eclipse from your location here.
The partial eclipse will begin at 6:18pm, with the maximum eclipse occurring at 8:02pm. The event will end around 9:47pm. This is referred to as a partial lunar eclipse because the Earth moves between the sun and the full moon but they aren’t completely aligned. Only part of the moon is visible as it moves into the Earth’s shadow.
The full moon will be taking place in Taurus this month, and with the sun in Scorpio, you might be feeling a little emotional with developments in the areas of romance and relationships. According to Cafe Astrology, the full moon coupled with the partial lunar eclipse may prompt the need to improve the Taurus and Scorpio ruled areas of life in your charts.
If you’ve been experiencing discontentment in certain areas of your life, this might feel magnified during this lunar event. According to the AstroTwins, this eclipse kicks off a new series of astrological events between now and October 2023 that will see changes in the way we live our daily lives.
Full moon energy can often feel a little intense, especially as we near the end of the year. While this week might feel challenging, do your best to roll with the punches and try to enjoy witnessing the partial lunar eclipse at the same time as the full moon.
