A Guide to the Power Wardrobes on Selling Tampa, Where They're “Closing Deals in Heels”
The Allure agents on Netflix’s Selling Tampa work hard and love to dress confidently to show just how serious they are about their business. As an all-female, minority-run real estate agency, it’s both empowering and exciting to see the luxury designer pieces the women own and expertly style (no, they don’t work with a costume designer for onscreen scenes, which is the case on other reality TV shows). CEO Sharelle Rosado and the rest of the cast – Alexis, Anne-Sophie, Colony, Juawana, Karla, Rena, and Tennille – bring the drama, gossip, and stir the pot just like the agents on the show’s counterpart Selling Sunset do, but they can all agree on “closing deals in heels” and their clear appreciation for Chanel.
While Colony and Anne-Sophie shop for the first aired networking event at an USD $8.5 million home, Anne-Sophie explains how the fashion sense differs among the coworkers in the office, at least in her opinion. “Colony and I like to think of ourselves as the nieces, and the other ladies, because they’re older, they’re the aunties. If they have anything to say about what Colony and I wear, it’s very jealous because we know how to bring it. Don’t worry about what we wear, worry about an offer,” she says in a behind-the-scenes interview clip. But each of the women has such a distinct aesthetic, and their go-to accessories and silhouettes become easy to pinpoint just 30 minutes in. Ahead, we’re breaking down some of the personality packed looks you’re about to see that are bold enough to distract us from Florida’s biggest mansions.
Sharelle Rosado
I’d like to crown Sharelle queen of the jumpsuit. When she’s not in her working uniform, which usually involves a blazer or pencil skirt, she’s perfecting the day-to-night look in an electrifying jumper (she wears a backless one in yellow at the beach that I still can’t get over) or a belted blazerdress and heels. When she’s off-duty at home or hanging with Juawana, she’s in cutoffs and a boxy tee – her casual combinations grow increasingly bold.
Anne-Sophie Petit-Frere
From the very first time we meet Anne-Sophie, we immediately know she likes to steal the spotlight with her looks. Little two-piece co-ords, cutouts, and designer bags (particularly the quilted YSL) are her staples, and we see her in plenty of minidresses for evenings out with the team.
Rena Frazier
Rena without a doubt owns the most sophisticated pieces in the office, from tailored sheath dresses to blazer capes and pencil skirts. She always knows when a moment calls for a cinch at the waist with her Gucci belt or a fun pair of eye-catching pumps. She brought my personal favorite fashion moment in all of season one with the cutout dress she wears to the networking event at the $8.5 million home. What with the wraparound one-shoulder sleeve and gold chainlink hardware, I knew she’d become my new fashion icon – even if she was excluded from the group marketing photo because she wore black pants instead of lighter neutrals.
Colony Reeves
When Sharelle and Juawana suggest the Allure agents avoid club attire, everyone in the room looks at Colony. But her always-sleek, colorful, and trend-driven approach to dressing is the most admirable, in my opinion. On the job, she’s usually in an eye-catching blazer-dress or bodyhugging, knee-length number, while her off-duty pieces include skin-baring tops, skinnies, and stilettos.
Alexis Williams
Alexis may be one of the quieter agents at Allure, but her outfits go from zero to 60 in a flash. One moment she’s polished in a pussy-bow blouse and pencil skirt, and the next she’s in a statement piece, like a striking cutout LBD. One thing she’s always got on? Her signature nameplate necklace.
Juawana Colbert
Juawana wears prints most often out of everyone at Allure, ranging from this snake patterned blouse to a cutout beach dress and, of course, the infamous jacquard minidress she wears in episode one that Rena refers to as “the flower curtain dress” in front of partygoers. All jokes aside, she knows how to play with proportions and rock a high-waist trouser.
Tennille Moore
You’ll rarely catch a scene with Tennille that bears no sign of Chanel. From her double-C earrings to her brooch that makes a frequent appearance, it’s safe to say the brand makes her favorite accessories. Second runner up just might be her Valentino Rockstud pumps that finish off many a monochrome outfit.
Karla Giogrio
Karla’s professional style is decidedly sporty, which brings the group aesthetic a fun twist. From straight trousers to fitted blazers and tailored shorts, her look is definitely streamlined and a little less over-the-top or statement making than some of the other agents. “This is the workout queen, she thinks she’s the best workout person,” Sharelle teases in the second episode while the duo hit the gym in polished legging sets and perfectly coordinated sneakers.
