In some krazy exciting news this week, David Jones has announced it’ll be bringing Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS range to Australia this spring. The department store will be the exclusive stockist of the brand and will sell it online and in-stores, nationally.
Up until now, the brand had only been available to Australians online via the official SKIMS site and with a minimum seven-day shipping period. Now, Australian customers will not only not have a shorter wait for their purchases, but they’ll also be able to try them on before they decide to buy.
SKIMS was founded in 2019 by Kim Kardashian and fashion executive Jens Grede. Originally specialising in shapewear and underwear with invisible support and smoothing qualities, it’s since expanded its offering to clothes, including dresses, pants and shorts, loungewear and even slides.
“As a brand that supports and celebrates size inclusivity and body positivity, we are absolutely thrilled to be the exclusive bricks and mortar retailer in Australia to stock SKIMS,” says David Jones’ general manager of womenswear and accessories, Bridget Veals.
“We understand that SKIMS is already a highly sought after brand in our market so we are delighted that we can make SKIMS accessible for our customers to try and engage with in-store, with support from our team of fitting experts and of course shop via our website.”
David Jones will stock best-selling pieces from the brand including Seamless Sculpt, Core Control, Cozy Collection, Fits Everybody, Stretch Rib and Sleep Jersey.
