Here Are the Australian Prices For the New PlayStation Plus
The new PlayStation Plus is now live in Australia, bringing subscribers a library of almost 500 PS5 and PS4 games. There are three subscription tiers, each at a different price point and each offering access to a different catalogue of games.
To help you decide which subscription is right for you, we’ve rounded up everything we know about PlayStation Plus in Australia, including what you get with each tier and how much each tier will cost.
PlayStation Plus Essential
The cheapest tier provides the same benefits as the previous PlayStation Plus service:
- Two monthly downloadable games
- Exclusive discounts
- Cloud storage for saved games
- Online multiplayer access
PlayStation Plus Essential price: $11.95 for one month, $33.95 for three months or $79.95 for a year
PlayStation Plus Extra
The mid-range tier provides all the benefits from PlayStation Plus Essential, plus:
- Adds a catalogue of the most enjoyable PS4 and PS5 games — including blockbuster hits from our PlayStation Studios catalogue and third-party partners.
See the full list of games that are available for PS Plus Extra subscribers here. Highlights include Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Outer Wilds, Overcooked! 2, Red Dead Redemption 2, The Artful Escape, Until Dawn and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
There are quite a few PS5 exclusives on the list too, including Returnal, the Demon’s Souls remake and Death Stranding: Director’s Cut.
PlayStation Plus Extra price: $18.95 for one month, $54.95 for three months or $134.95 for a year
PlayStation Plus Deluxe
This tier includes all the PlayStation Plus benefits from other plans, plus:
- Access to a catalogue of beloved classic games from the original PlayStation, PS2 and PSP generations to download and play
- Time-limited game trials
The game trials are a big selling point for Deluxe. This is probably how most of the biggest new releases will make their way onto PlayStation Plus, letting Deluxe subscribers download them for free to test if they want to buy the full game. Your save data and any trophies you unlock during the trial will carry forward if you purchase the game.
These are the game trials currently on PlayStation Plus:
- Horizon Forbidden West
- Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
- Cyberpunk 2077
- Olli Olli World
- WWE 2K22
- UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection
- Hot Wheels Unleashed
- LEGO CITY Undercover
- Biomutant
- Farming Simulator 22
- MotoGP 22
- ELEX 2
- Crusader Kings III
PlayStation Plus Deluxe price: $21.95 for one month, $63.95 for 3 months or $154.95 for a year.
